
Lee #17 is known as one of the best flavourful and very hardy varieties of apples bred by the late Lloyd Lee of Barrhead, Alberta grown out of thousands of apples from seed at his experimental orchard.
Lee #17 make a wonderful eating apple. Sweet, tart and juicy and can grow to a large size, sometimes pushing over 10 cm (4") in diameter. Also good for juicing and using for pies. Ripens early September and keeps for two months in cold storage.
