Lee #17 is another great apple bred by the late Lloyd Lee of Barrhead, Alberta. Lloyd had grown thousands of apples from seed at his experimental orchard and Lee #17 is known as one of his best. Fruit is sweet, tart and juicy and can grow to a large size, sometimes pushing over 10 cm in diameter. It's a very good for fresh eating, juicing and using for pies. Ripens early September and keeps for 2 months in cold storage.
