
The Sweet Sixteen Apple is an all purpose yellow fleshed red-striped apple that is famous for its exotic taste. It has an excellent sweet, unusual flavour – like cherry candy, spices and hints of vanilla. It’s an outstanding dessert apple. Excellent for fresh eating and cooking and stores for 3 months in cold storage. Fruit can be harvested around mid-late September. Developed by the University of Minnesota and released in 1978.
