The Parkland Apple is the earliest ripening apple we offer at Prairie Hardy Nursery and is very hardy for our Canadian climate. It's usually harvested by late August, even sooner in warmer years.

The Parkland apples are green and turn a pretty red when ripe, averaging 6 to 7 cm (2 1/2") in diameter. The juicy yet crunchy flesh is white, mainly sweet with some tart notes. The Parkland is great to use for fresh eating and stores for up to 2 months in cold storage. This apple tree would be a great hardy variety to get some early apples from your orchard. Introduced by Morden Research Station in 1979.
