The Red Bounty Raspberry is a summer-bearing (Floricane) variety of raspberry. It's an improvement from the older prairie standard (Boyne).

The Red Bounty raspberries are large and flavourful, excellent for fresh eating and great for processing. Highly productive canes that have raspberries averaging 2 cm (3/4") in diameter, that easily detach when picked. These raspberries ripen by early July and they produce all summer long. The Red Bounty was rated first place for the highest yield in growing trials in Alberta. Canes will require some trellising for support. Released by the University of Saskatchewan in 1999.

Growers Note:

Canes must be pruned yearly to maintain health and productiveness. In the fall (or early spring before they break dormancy) remove all two year old (brown and woody) canes. You can go further and thin out excess first year old (green) canes until you are left with approx. 3 to 6 feet spacing between the remaining canes.
