Being known for having less of the typical crabapple taste, Rosybrook still makes an excellent flavoured sweet and crunchy crab. It has yellowish-green skin, eventually covered with rosy-red colour when fully ripe. These make for a great all purpose apple for dessert, pies, juicing and canning. Makes a fantastic juice. Fruit averages around 4 to 5 cm in size and ripens early to middle of September. Keeps up to 3 months in cold storage. Released by the Alberta Horticulture Research Centre in Brooks Alberta in 1980.
