September Ruby apple is a dependable apple for cold climate growing. There are very good reports about its hardiness in many cold climatic growing regions. September Ruby is a sweet, slightly tart and juicy but firm apple. Good for fresh eating, cooking and great for juicing. The apples have a light green base, striped to blushed bright to dark red in colour and around 5 to 7 cm in size. The flesh is greenish, crisp and moderately acidic.  A vigorous grower with good yields year after year. Grows naturally semi-dwarf in size. Apples are harvested in middle of September and store up to 4 months in cold storage.
