September Ruby apple is a dependable apple for cold climate growing. There are very good reports about its hardiness and it has done well in all of our test sites. September Ruby is a sweet, slightly tart and juicy but firm apple. Good for fresh eating, cooking and great for juicing. The apples have a light green base, striped to blushed bright to dark red in colour and around 5 to 7 cm in size. The flesh is greenish, crisp and moderately acidic. A vigorous grower with good yields year after year. Apples are harvested in mid-September and store up to 4 months.
