The hardy September Ruby Apple is dependable for our cold prairie climate.

Once ripe, this enjoyable apple is nicely sweet and flavoured. Wonderful juice maker, great for fresh eating and all your favourite apple recipes. The skin has a light green base, and ripens in stripes to a deep warm dark red in colour. Average size of fruit is around 5 to 7 cm (2 1/2") in diameter. The flesh is greenish, crisp and moderately acidic. 

A vigorous grower with fantastic yields year after year, if thinned properly the apple will grow even larger in size!  This apple tree grows naturally semi-dwarf in size. The September Ruby apples are harvested in the middle of September and store up to four months in cold storage.

Growers Note: Very hardy apple, may be worth growing in Zone 1 climate areas
