Harvest the boldest of flavours with the Summer Red Apple, a BC-bred hybrid of McIntosh and Golden Delicious.
These apples are vibrant in streaked red with white spotting and bear a sweet, strawberry-tanged taste and juicy white flesh. Ready to pick in early September, they're simply delicious for snacking straight off the tree. The Summer Red apples can be kept in cold storage for up to one month.
Developed in 1961 by the Summerland Research Station, this intriguing variety is now enjoyed in Alberta and beyond.
