This American plum was first observed thriving on an old homestead in southern Alberta. Its defining features are its attractive blooms, which are tinged pink and give off a pleasant aroma when they appear in spring. As fall approaches, the foliage takes on a vivid pink-red colour. Its fruits are 3 cm in size and turn deep red when ripe in early September. Grafted onto American plum seedling rootstock.
